The Aging and Disability Institute

Partners is a founding member of the Aging and Disability Business Institute (Business Institute). Led by The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) in partnership with the most experienced and respected organizations working within the aging and disability network. Together, these organizations provide community-based organizations (CBOs) with tools and resources to successfully adapt to a changing health care environment, enhance their organizational capacity and capitalize on emerging opportunities to diversify funding. Serving as the national focal point to build the business acumen of CBOs, the Business Institute focuses on building skills and knowledge across business disciplines, while looking ahead to the future of aging and disability services.

The overarching vision of this initiative is to improve the health and well-being of America’s older adults and people with disabilities through improved and increased access to quality services and proven health programs. Such access can help older adults and people with disabilities live with dignity and independence in their homes and communities. Building the business capacity of aging and disability CBOs, enabling them to effectively contract with health care payers, will ultimately lead to improved quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities through better integration and coordination of a wide array of medical and social services and supports.
