On Saturday March 16, 2024, the City of Huntington Park hosted their 5th Annual 5k Fun Run Event at Salt Lake Park, and staff from Partners in Care Foundation’s Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) was in attendance.
Thank you to MSSP South Supervisor Franscisco Moreno and Community Linkages Specialist Nicholas Gonzalez for representing Partners at this community event.
There was also a Health and Education Expo where community members received free information and resources from local health and education exhibitors, as well as fun easter activities for families to enjoy.
The MSSP team donated cases of water bottles to runners, and handed out informational brochures, pamphlets, emergency blankets, jar openers, and multi-tool pens to attendees.
MSSP services are essential in improving the livelihood of senior residents in Los Angeles. Attending community events, like the 5k Fun Run, helping to bring awareness of MSSP, encouraging cross sector collaboration with fellow organizations and health care facilities in the community are all vital parts of what Partners in Care Foundation does.
