The Better Medicare Alliance has released a comprehensive report on “Innovative Approaches to Addressing Social Determinants of Health for Medicare Advantage Beneficiaries” examining current approaches to providing social determinants of health through Medicare Advantage plans along with policy recommendations to spur further innovation.
Partners staff were interviewed, and CEO June Simmons quoted in the report stating that “Health plans, health systems, referral platforms (SHARPs), and community-based organizations (CBOs) each have a key and equally important role to play in co-designing an improved system that aligns social care and health care.”
We are honored to have contributed our expertise on addressing social determinants of health and excited about the reports’ public release today January 26.
