Partners in Care Foundation is pleased to announce that Heather Brungardt, MSW, LCSW of the Greater Kansas City
Metropolitan Area has joined the agency as its VP of Workforce Development. She will be leading the organization’s
efforts in the areas of workforce development, social determinants of health consulting, leading the Archstone
Community Health Work training grant, and will work closely with the Geriatric Social Work Education Consortium of
Southern California.

and CEO of Partners. “Her background is wide-ranging, and nicely complements that of our nationally-recognized team
of experts developing innovative approaches to resolving the social determinants of health.”
Prior to joining Partners, Ms. Brungardt was Senior Administrative Director of Psychosocial Services at Children’s Mercy
Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She has over two decades of experience as a clinician and leader within health care and
non-profit sectors focused on health and social policy, population health, social needs care and care integration. Ms.
Brungardt is the Immediate Past-President of the National Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care. She holds
an M.S in Social Work from the University of Kansas, in Lawrence, KS and a B.S. in Social Work from Pittsburg State
University, Pittsburg, KS
