Stephanie Varela has been chosen as one of Partners’ two Employees of the Month for May. She currently serves as Inland Empire Care Coordinator in the Health Homes Program (HHP). Throughout the pandemic, Stephanie has supported her coworkers whenever they needed help. She took on cases in San Diego and Los Angeles counties to make sure no member was without a Care Coordinator and provided comprehensive and holistic care to each member – even presenting to all HHP staff on how spirituality can be incorporated into care planning using a Bio-psycho-social-spiritual model. While maintaining a full caseload of her own and assisting other Care Coordinators with their members, she agreed to take on Spanish-speaking participants in Arrowhead to help the Network division. Stephanie demonstrates a true passion for addressing SDOH needs and great leadership amongst her peers. Her positive insight and spirit are a great addition to our HHP team and Partners in Care Foundation. Congratulations!
